Classic Moving & Storage Ltd. provides two kinds of storage: LONG TERM and SHORT TERM. When moving long distance and your new location is not ready when you arrive, you’ll require SHORT TERM storage, which is usually less than 60 days. This short term storage is also available for local household goods relocations. Your shipment will be carefully handled and located where it will be available for reloading and delivery on a moment’s notice.

The same careful handling is given to shipments needing longer than 60 days of storage. LONG TERM storage usually results in a lower storage rate and can range from 1 to 3 years. Whatever your requirements, you will feel secure knowing your goods will be stored in a clean, dry, and safe warehouse.

Extra coverage storage insurance is available for all types of storage requirements. Ask your Classic Representative for information regarding terms and rates.

Each Classic storage facility, along with each Atlas Van Lines agent facility, is approved by the Government of Canada, and undergoes random inspections by the Department of National Defense at their discretion. Most facilities are used on a regular basis for long term storage of military personnel’s household goods while serving overseas.

Goods stored in the warehouse facilities of Classic Moving & Storage Ltd. are padded and wrapped and placed in wooden containers, referred to as storage pallets. The storage pallets, approximately 8’ x 8’ x 6’ in size, are sealed and stacked in an orderly fashion.

Larger items such as rugs and chesterfields are wrapped in plastic and placed on racking for safe storage. Each location of Classic Moving & Storage Ltd. utilizes the palletized and racking method which is clean, secure, an very efficient. Our storage information system tells us where your shipment is located and can be instantly located.

Classic controlled warehousing consists of over 130,000 square feet of Government Approved, Canada Customs Bonded storage space. Each Classic location is fully covered under a separate policy effected through an accredited Canadian Insurance Company. A copy of the Certificate of Insurance is available to our customers. A number of our facilities are designated as “container depots” servicing the Atlas Van Lines Container Fleet.
